Founded in 2019, Time 2 Shine is an all-inclusive group dedicated to using creativity and imagination to help young people build their confidence.
We provide a safe space for young people of all ages and abilities to explore their interests, have their voices heard and to express themselves freely.
We tailor our workshops and sessions to suit the needs of each young person and value differences.
As the founder, Ellie recognises the invaluable impact Performing Arts can have on young people and is passionate about providing fun opportunities for young people to gain confidence.
Here at Time 2 Shine, we aim to:
- Develop transferable Drama skills
- Provide the opportunity to participate in Public Performances
- Build confidence and develop public speaking and employability skills
- Create a safe space for young people to grow
- Help with achieving Performing Arts qualifications
Ellie is passionate about developing young people's future opportunities by building their confidence. As a qualified Secondary School Drama and English Teacher, her passion about sharing these skills with future generations is at the heart of Time 2 Shine.
Her varied experience in different educational settings includes spending two summers as a Drama specialist with Camp America and working with young people with additional needs since 2014, providing various workshops.
Ellie has also spent two summers as a Programme Leader for The National Citizenship Service Challenge (NCS), a programme that helps 15-17 year olds to develop. Whilst in this role, she delivered public speaking workshops. The Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2017 allowed her to direct and perform an original show. She is qualified in Makaton Sign Language and is a Trinity College Arts Award Trainer.
Time 2 Shine Drama is an all inclusive group that strives to ensure every young person is given the opportunity and space to express themselves freely through Performing Arts.
We run weekly classes for different ages and abilities
We run annual holiday clubs with Time 2 Shine Drama and are also available to run workshops during school holidays.
Our workshops in the holidays allow other groups to hire our services where we produce a performance for parents to watch either online or in person.
If you are interested in our holiday club or holiday workshops please get in touch.
Arts Award is a qualification from Trinity College London. We are trained to deliver this course and will ensure that your child is successful in whichever level they choose to do.
We chose Arts Award due to its flexibility and wide variety of skills that can be studied. It is not time restricted and young people can take as much time as they need to achieve the qualification.
